Ubuntu GDM Re-Design?

April 30, 2008

It seems like the Ubuntu GDM; the place where you initially log in is gettign a re-design. The default login for GDM on Ubuntu looks like this:

You type you user name in hit enter, then type your password in and hit enter, then you start to log on. The new system allows you to have a grid of pictures of all your users. You click the picture then your picture gets larger and you type your password, and your logged in.

It will look somethign liek this:

Then when you select your picture:

This seems like a nifty more visual appealing way to log in for people with multiple user accounts. Personally for me, I am the only one who uses my computer and I only have one account. But I guess it still looks nifty. You can read more about this here on the Ubuntu Wiki.
