Google Chrome As Smooth as Chrome on Linux
Google Chrome is coming along smoothly for Linux. I am trying out the current early release for Google Chrome on linux and it is actually running really smooth and lightning fast.

And there is the proof that Google Chrome is working on Linux! I am actually running it on Ubuntu! yay, so how does it run you ask? So far I have not had any crashes or errors running it.
But just because I say that don’t go flocking (No pun intended about the browser flock) over to Chrome it is still unstable for a reason in Googles eyes and although it runs it is not finished yet.
For example the pop-up blocker either isn’t implemented yet or not finished yet because a pop up came up while I checked out mlb.com for baseball scores. Also Google gives you this message when you first run the development version of Chrome:

I would say once Flash gets in into this Google Chrome pre releases then it will be something I will stick with on Linux. Once Google Chrome comes out to Linux and Mac the browser wars will really heat up, and I don’t think Chrome is going to melt.

Fastest of the three internet browsers
The three main Internet browser are, Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Opera. The question is always which browser is the fastest? From personal Experience I rule out Internet Explorer right away, it has nothing on FireFox or Opera. Although the latest Internet Explorer is making strides to catch up to FireFox and Opera, it just isn’t there yet…..

Back And Forth on Opera Opinion
So my first post I bashed Opera on how although it is fast, it doesnt work 100% with all the websites online. Then in my second post I said I was using Opera Happily. But now I am mad at Opera again and I stand by my initial statement that Opera does not work 100% well with a lot of websites. Although a lot of comments were made on that post disagreeing with me.
So whats my new rant with Opera? Well I am mad about it not working with a website 100% like a browser should. Well if you haven’t noticed yet on facebook, the chat feature is now live for everyone! Unfortunately it doesn’t even show up in Opera. So my initial thought was good thing Opera knows its incompatible with many sites; so I masked it as Firefox.
After masking I was happy the chat feature showed up. But after using it for a little bit I noticed it was unbelievably slow! I think tried facebook chat on Firefox and it worked flawlessly.

Cooler Opera Icon
So naturally after bashing Opera I of course decided to make it my main browser….but me beign picky didnt liek the default Icon it used in Ubuntu with the ugly shadow etc… So I went off on an adventure to find a better Icon to fit on my dock:
I foudn this one as an Opera Icon designed for Mac osx here. It seems to fit more nicley with my theme!
P.s. Opera is working swell

What I don’t Understand About Opera
Opera is Firefox’s competitor another internet browser bragging about its speed. Now don’t get me wrong, Opera is pretty fast, I may even say it could be as fast if not faster then Firefox. But Opera has one problem it doesn’t render every website right. Some things just don’t work or are a little off etc.. Lots of web 2.0 pages including Google Calendar, and Google’s Picasa Web Albums don’t fully support opera. Even gmail doesn’t yet fully work in Opera as it does in Firefox.
The worst part of this whole thing is Opera knows that it has problems rendering websites. If you right click on a page and go to site preferences you would see this:

View, Click, Make Money
Opera lets you pick to identify itself as any of its major competitors…Opera knows their flaw, so why won’t they fix it?
