Expono…Flickr Competitor
Is there finally a Flickr competitor out there? Flickr has been the top dog at least in my mind with photo hosting on the web for photo lovers and camer addicts alike. Anywho there is a yet another new photo hosting website, the first real good one I have seen in a ver long time and it is called Expono.
Expono interface looks great and has a ton of great features you can read on the Expono website here. The one feature that I loved when quickly tryign it oout today was the fact that you can tag people in pictures like you can on facebook with boxes aroudn the faces. This is one thing about flickr that I desperatley want people tagging.
I will keep this review short I always think it more fun to explorer yourself then actually read about soemthing. But oen thing I shoudl add, a free account on expono comes with one gig of space while you can pay $45 a year for a 10 gig account. Now Price wise this does not compare with Flickr, because with Flickr you get an unlimited accoutn for $25 a year. So I guesse you can do th emath vs features yourself.
Lastly unfortunetly Expono is in Private beta so you all cant rush to it but I so happen to snag an accoutn and also have a bunch of invites to give out!! yea I am better then Tech Crunch…ok jk thats a huge stretch but if you want an invite, post a comment make it funny or beg for an invite what ever you want to do, but I will pick my favorite comments and will award them with an invite to Expono. Contest will go for a few days or untill I give them all out.
Enjoy!

Joomeo Online Photo Storage
Here is yet another online place to store your photos. Un-like flickr I would compare Joomeo to a advanced version of Iphoto but online. The Joomeo interface reminds me a lot of what Iphoto looks like on the mac.

Joomeo is free and lets you upload an unlimited amount of photos but up to 150 megabytes a month. I have and 8 mega pixel camera and I am surprised how many photos I have been able to upload with my free account to Joomeo.
Joomeo also offers subscription accounts. A 500mb per month cap for 16 euros a year, a 1 gigabyte for 30 euros a year, and finally an unlimited for 120 euros a year.
Now the neat thing abotu Joomeo is it also allows you to upload movies to! Joomeo seems to be more centered around a place for you to store and organize photos and to share with your contacts. It is not as social as Flickr would be.
I may have to try and get used to this since I can;t seem to get myself a flickr pro account. I think flickr is better for my own needs…

Where to find free clip art
Clip art to me are those cartoonish pictures that are great for school projects or making posters. But the default clip art comes with Microsoft words is very lacking. Also some times you need clip art for some abstract or very specific things. It can be a real pain to find free clip art for your specific needs…
